Grenada Community Berean Church is active in worldwide missions.  As a church body, we support many full time missionaries, covering five regions of the world.  We also support short term mission trips for those in the church body who are called to go.

We currently help support 12 missionary families.   For information on how you can help support one of our missionaries please call the church office.

Serving with AVANT

Glenn and Sue Ashcraft are serving in Spain at the “Springs of Life” camp, where Glenn is the Director. They run a full schedule in the summer and weekends are booked throughout the rest of the year. The camp is a tremendous encouragement to the believers in Spain as it is a place to bring children, teens and adults for spiritual encouragement. They also see many come to Christ through the work they do.

Joe and Bev Bushelman are with Campus Crusade at the University of Arizona. Their mission is to evangelize students and disciple them. They focus on raising up student leadership and work through them to reach even more students for Christ. There is a large population of Hispanics at U of A and God has raised up a ministry called “Destino” to reach them.

Serving with One Challenge (OC International)

Russ and Sylvia are back in the United States after serving in England for two years. They continue to be involved with a world-wide ministry but work from Colorado to do so. Russ is the assistant to the executive director of OC, Greg Gripentrog and is currently providing interim leadership as the VP of Field Ministry.  Sylvia is employed in the finance department and works 30 hours a week in the office. She keeps track of many details and is a huge help to OC!

Faye recently moved to Guadalajara, Jalisco, MEXICO where she began a new assignment after spending many years in Bolivia. Faye is gifted in Christian Education and is learning that you life always has opportunities to do something different! The ministry she is involved in is brand new. She and her teammates are making initial contacts with people through the avenue of music and drama. They literally go out to the streets and to wherever God opens up an opportunity.  From there, they hope that their relationships will result in people coming to Christ and getting involved in Bible Studies.

Dave and Diann were reassigned back to Papua New Guinea after serving the Lord for three years in Singapore with New Tribes Mission. They are currently the main support base for all missionaries in Papua New Guinea, helping with entrance and exit to the country. They do an immense amount of paperwork for the missionaries under their care. They often offer hospitality as well as Port Moresby is the city that people fly in and out of.
