Week of 3/10/24

Dear Church Family,
The weather today is cool and cloudy, but Spring is about to pop! I know this means a lot of busyness for us as a church family. I am praying for us as a body to take the things we are learning and to be full of grace and truth as we get busy at home or in the community. Let us also prioritize time with one another and 'not forsake meeting together', but continue to gather and worship the Lord together so that we would be filled up for our daily ministry wherever we go!

Home Enjoyment
In Paul's writing Ephesians 4:17-24 he makes it clear that the former way of every 'gentile's' thinking does not take God into count. This is the result of a hardened heart. What is the cause of a hardened or calloused heart? Mark 6:51-52, Hebrews 3:12-19What does this passage say a calloused heart leads to?In contrast, true belief in Christ leads to a life changing and growing by the help of the Holy Spirit. What do we do with our old patterns of thinking? How? Romans 12:1-3Think of a few examples where the Lord changed your way of thinking from your old ways to God's new ways and how you 'proved God's will was good, pleasing, and perfect.'What does Paul mean when he says the new self is 'created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness?' 2 Corinthians 5:16-18.In what specific place in your life is the Holy Spirit showing you the need to put off the old self and put on new Christ-likeness in that area? Pray and ask for an obedient and willing heart.

May the gratefulness and obedience in our hearts bloom into thanksgiving and praise to God this week!

In Christ,
Pastor Phillip
